Summer in Winter

I just love Tilda!!! I can't wait to use each and every stamp I have! lol This is the debut for this stamp which qualifies her for the challenges from both Alphabet and Doodle Palace where their challenges are to use something new!

In the opposite direction comes the challenge from Raise the Bar where we were to use something old....out of your stash. The white eyelet paper is some of the first paper I bought when I started scrapbooking over 5 years ago. The center rose is also something so old out of my stash that I forgot I even had them. lol

With all the cold and snow, I thought I wanted a little warm and pink! This goes along with the "Summer in Winter" challenge from Dutch Dare.

The awesome sketch I used came from Lili of the Valley

PaperPlay has a color recipe for their challenge this week.....pink,green and white. Another recipe I followed this week was found at the Pink Elephant. Their scrumptious recipe was for polka dots, a bow and pink.

At Cute Card Thursday the challenge was "Blooming Gorgeous". You needed to somehow use flowers on your creations.

Flutter By Wednesday's challenge was to use either an angel, fairy or butterfly and I think Tilda's are the sweetest little fairies out there.

Paper piecing was the challenge at Totally Gorjuss this week. I stamped Tilda several times and layered her.

And the last challenge I am entering her in is GLITTER from Lucy's As you can see, I love stickles! lol

Thanks again to all the wonderful DTs for all their hard work not only having the challenges but for all their wonderful creations they make each week to inspire us!

Lee surrounded by lots of UG!

Well here is the ugliest card I think I have ever made in my long career of three months! lol When I got this adorable Bildy stamp I couldn't wait to use her. Little did I know that I would surround her in so much ugly! I guess we all have at least one that doesn't turn out nearly as cute as we first planned. Actually, none of mine do but this one surpasses not coming close!!! At first I was not going to even post her but then decided if this is a blog to keep track of my card making, then little Miss "Lee" needs to be here too.

I am even entering her in a challenge.....sorry Sweet Shop but you should have to have one ugly card some time so I will jump in and take the pressure off anyone who thought they would fill this place.

Any blogs out there for the ugliest card challenges???? I have the grand champion here! lol

Kellie's yummy candy!!!

Who wouldn't want to win this awesome candy being offered by Kellie at Blog of a Craft-a-holic Waffler!!! I know I sure would love these darling little stamps. Aren't they just the cutest!!! Well, if you want to decrease my chances of winning.....head on over and see what you need to do! lol Best of luck to everyone of us!

Precious Purple Tilda

Here is a precious little Tilda stamp that I just love. I am entering her in two challenges this week. The first is over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers. I used their sketch for this card. The other is the color challenge from Sew Many Cards. I will say this was the hardest challenge I think I have done so far because purple is just not one of the colors I use much. But I still had fun! I even made a few more roses and am having fun with them. Thanks for challenges!!! I

Get well Dragon card

I made this little get well card for a special young man. Andrew is a young man that has faced medical problems since birth and now has underwent yet another surgery. When I read about him and how his mother thought getting cards might help lift his spirits, I thought it would be fun to see how many cards from around the world we could get to this inspirational young man. So, to Andrew, here is one from Idaho, USA! If you would like to join in and help bless him, please read more about Andrew here. Andrew, I am wishing all God's best for your life!

I am entering it in two challenges before I get it mailed off. The first was the sketch from Sketch Saturday.

And the other challenge is found at Raise the Bar where we were to use something that was given to us. The patterned paper was given to me by my niece and the ink I used to edge the papers was given to me by my Mother.

This was a fun challenge to do. Thanks ladies for working so hard so we can all have fun playing together!

Heart Easel Valentine

First I would like to say thanks to my good buddy for giving me the link to this wonderful tutorial on making a easel card out of a heart! I decided to give it a try and also enter the challenge there to. If you want to see some awesome cards and a fun challenge for Hearts and Romance just head over to Crafty Cardmakers and check out challenge 13.

I am excited about the challenge at Allsorts this week because it is for hearts and flowers. This is the first time I tried to make roses like this. I think they turned out fairly well for a beginner. I know a little practice would help! Also, over at My Time to Craft, their challenge is "Elegant Rose". Again I hope my little creations qualify for this challenge as well.

Over at A Spoon Full of Sugar, the challenge is "Freestyle" so hope this one qualifies!

I am also entering this card in the Crafty Catz challenge 16 where their theme is also Love. And to go along with this theme is the challenge 83 from Creative Belli Blog which requires hearts.

I thank all the DTs from every blog for being so inspirational and challenging us as well!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

I made this card mainly for the challenge at S2G Challenges They have a fun blog hop going on about indulging and pampering yourself. I made this card to fulfill the final steps of winning some awesome prizes! lol

I use the sketch from the Crafty Pad It a fun sketch to work with.

I am not too sure who will be the recipient of this card but I did have fun creating it. Thanks for looking and especially big thanks if you leave a comment!

Little Bildy Valentine card

I got so excited when I received an email about this new blog challenge at Bildy Blog . For this challenge we were to use the colors Turquoise, Pink and Chocolate!! I just love my new little Bildmalarna stamp. I really enjoyed working these three colors into my card.

I used the sketch from Truly Scrumptious I thought it was the perfect sketch for this card.

I loved the challenge at Simon Says and Creative Card Crew this week...to punch it. So I dug out my new border punch that I got at Christmas time to do my borders.

And for the Creative Belli blog challenge you needed to use hearts from yout stash. I had bought these little metal tags a couple years ago and when rumaging thru things looking for hearts, I thought it would be just right.

This week at Crafty Creations they challenged us to make a Valentine or Love card.

So, this is another Valentine card that I need to decide who it goes to since I already made two girly ones and only have two grand daughters! lol I am sure I can find somewhere to use the extra one.

Last Groundhog card!!!!

Well here is my last Groundhog Day card for my kids. I am sure they are anxiously awaiting greetings for this most important holiday!!!! lol Actually, they may get together and discuss which "home" I need to be placed in! Anyway, I am now done with my little furry friend for now.
The first challenge I am listing is from Sketch Girl.

Over at Artfull Inkables, they challenged us to "Think Spring" which was right up my alley with my Goundhog cards.

And the last challenge I am entering this little fellow in is Spoon Full of Sugar . Their challenge was to layer. Well this little guy is popped on layers of papers along with "think Spring" tag.

I do love this stamp from High Hopes and plan on using him year after year.......if I am not living in some padded room somewhere! lol I had lots of fun making it. I found the tutorial to make the center bouquet at Extreme Cards and Papercrafting. Thanks for the challenges and for the directions. And thank you for stopping by to see my latest creation.

Groundhog #2

The sketch I was inspired by to make this card what Mojo Monday's. I wanted to make a side step card and thought their sketch would work perfectly.
http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

At the Crafty Pad this week, they challenged us to use an animal and my little groundhog stamp from High Hopes fits this bill!
http://thecraftypad.blogspot.com/

And at Charisma Cards this week we were to use something new. I used my new flower stamps. The little groundhog stamp is new two.......just got him and stamped him three times for the three groundhog day cards I am making.
http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/2010/01/challenge-2-anything-new.html

As I was browsing blogs I came across this challenge from Raise the Bar. They wanted us to use something new out of our stash. Well, not real proud of this but had to break into my stickles stash and open a new Cinnamon. I have no idea where I have stashed my open one but it is doing a fine job staying hid. I know as I clean up, it will pop up with a smug smile knowing it made me open a new one. lol
http://raisethebarchallenge.blogspot.com/

And last but not least I am entering this in the Flourishes challenge. For this one you were to create a scene. My scene is my little rodent in his garden. lol
http://www.flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/

Now off to start my last Groundhog Day card. I do thank everyone for viewing and commenting on my creations. And thanks to all the DTs for awesome challenges!

Think Spring for Groundhog Day

I saw this little critter from High Hopes and just had to have him! And since we all know what an important day Groundhog day is, I knew he would make the perfect card. We will ignore the fact that until I bought him, groundhog day went by fairly unnoticed at our home. And can you imagine how excited my children will be when I show them this day is well worth a card!!!! lol The first challenge I will enter him in is High Hopes where they require a bow to be used.
http://highhopesstamps.blogspot.com/

Once I decided what stamp I would be using I searched for a sketch that I thought would be perfect for the card and found it at CCEE.

Paper Play this week challenged us to use our furry friends. At first I thought mainly kitties and puppies and the common sweet little critters we all love. But, as I checked out some of the DT's cards I found mice!!! Well, if you can call a mouse your friend I am more than willing to claim a groundhog as mine! lol

Thanks again to the wonderful hostesses that give us such awesome challenges!

Little Annie Apple girl

I found the funnest little challenge I think! It is over at "This is My Story" for their Teapot Tuesday challenge. My card is all about a little apple picker named Annie who has just gathered her apples and is taking them in to make applesauce. As you can see she is in great thought about her apple picking and how she can rid herself of that one bad apple that seems to keep knocking her on her fanny! lol Don't know what I am talking about? Well, visit Annie and some other apple pickers at http://mothermark.blogspot.com/

In the process of making this card I looked for more inspiration and found the challenge at Charisma cards had the perfect color scheme.
http://www.charismacardz.blogspot.com/ color pink brown cream and toffee

Over at Creative Inspirations they challenged me to use something that has been added to my stash since the New Year. So I jumped right on this and used new paper from Making Memories....."Love Notes".

http://www.cinspirations.blogspot.com/

Now no challenge can be complete without a sketch. So, after a fun search I decided on the one from Sketch Saturday! What a fun sketch to do!
http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/

I also came across the challenge at Nutshells that this card qualifies for!!! I was quite excited. Their challenge was to use pink and brown.
http://nutcrafters-nutshells.blogspot.com/

At AiFactory, the challenge was to use lace or lace look punches. I used my Fiskars punch to add a lacey effect.
http://aifactorychallenges.blogspot.com/

This card also qualifies for the challenge at Cupcake Crafts. Their challenge was "Girly" and I think little Annie is pretty girly little girl!

http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/

I had a lot of fun with all these challenges and am now off to find a few more for my next card! Thanks to everyone for making such fun challenges that I never have time for housework and am happy about that!

Valentine card

I decided that I need to get started on my Valentine cards if I want to get them finished in time! I create so slowly that it may take until Valentine Day 2011 before I get them all done for the grandchildren. lol Anyway, this one is for one of my granddaughters, maybe. (who knows what I will actually do with it by the time V-day rolls around! lol) I have entered it in six challenges this week. The sketch is from Papertake weekly. I love their sketches!

Then on Cute Card Thursday the challenge was "New". I used my new papers I just bought from our lss on Saturday. It is "Love Notes" from Making Memories.
I am also entering it in Fussy and Fancy Fridays. Their challenge was also "new" so my new paper "Love Notes" from Making Memories is what I used.
I entered an new "challenge to me". I came across Creative Belli blog and their challenge was glitter or rhinestones! Well I certainly used Stickles on this card so thought I would enter their awesome challenge too!

And then one of my favorite things to do just happened to be the challenge on Just Us Girls! I love to add sewing on most all my scrapping items. My machine is always set up and ready to go!!!

And the last challenge I did it for was ABC challenge. This week the letter "L" for layering was the challenge. I layered papers and flowers.

I really enjoyed doing this card but time to move on as I have one more g-daughter and 9 grandsons to go!

Valentine card

I made this card from the Mojo Monday challenge sketch.
http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

I am also entering it in Roses on Paper challenge. This week it was to use your favorite medium.. Mine would have to be a combination of my pearl chalks and copics. I love the glimmer the pearl chalks add.
http://ropchallenge.blogspot.com/

And last but by no means least, I entered her in the very first challenge on Fussy and Fancy. Thier challenge was "New". I used my new stamp from Magnolia as well as one of the new charms I just got last week. I even used their colors but not sure why they look so light here. Her hair is not white on bottom and the pinks are a lot brighter....not washed out like they look here.
http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.com/

I thank all you bloggers that offer such fun challenges!!! I am having fun playing along with you!

Playing in the Sugar bowl

This is a little card I made for the awesome sketch from the Sugar Bowl.
http://www.sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/ The challenge was the sketch as well as "something new". I used the little green flowers I recently won from a private challenge I was in. I really enjoyed using this little Sugar Nellie stamp. Thanks ladies for the awesome challenge as well as the many awesome creations by the DT to inspire us. They were all so wonderful!

Papertake weekly Challenge

I had so much fun with this challenge but way out of my comfort zone. Not too sure I like the colors and all the black. I love the sketch this week at Papertake. They have some of the most awesome sketches and great DT creations to inspire you! http://www.papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/

Cute Card Thursday challenge

I am going to get back into the swing of making cards hopefully and do more challenges. This one is for http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/.
I figure with Valentines Day, Easter and a whole book full of birthdays coming up, I can make lots of cards!!!!

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday was a fun sketch to do. Did give me a little bit of a challenge trying to find papers the kind of went together. Now off for the next one!
