Purple, Green and Some Odd Girl!

The challenge at Craftalicious this time is a color challenge brought to you by our very talented Tasha! Some Odd Girl is our sponsor this time and they were so nice to let us choose an image to use. I chose Kody since I have 9 grandsons and not too many boy stamps! I think this little fellow really has some attitude and just loved working with him. Could not really think of a good sentiment that I could use until I found this celebrate stamp hiding in my stash. The crocheted flower was given to me by my good scrapping buddy in Indiana! I added the metal flower along with a crystal in the center.

The challenges I am entering him in are:

Paper Sundaes-sketch

Stampalicious- textures I figure with ribbon, embossed papers, crocheted flower with metal center as well as wire additions and charms, I have used at least two textures.

City Crafter- I see stars

The Shabby Tea Room- Metal and photo.....went with stripes and a little green. Charms, center of flower and little black squiggles are metal.

One Stitch at a Time- say it with shapes

Stampin' for the Weekend- anything goes

Aud Sentiments- anything goes

Papertake Weekly- 3-2-1..... I used 3 pieces of ribbon, 2 charms, and one flower

Crafting under protest!

First I would like to say thank you so much to Jan and Lexi who have graciously allowed me to take a break from deadlines right now. I also want to say a special thanks to my wonderful niece and my good scrapping buddy who have got me to scrap even when I didn't want to. You all mean so much to me. With a lot of stress with personal matters right now, my heart is just not into crafting or anything else but these people just would not let me stop. I hope to be back to my old self real soon and to the point where I will feel comfortable meeting deadlines and obligations but for now I am just trying to keep some sanity in my life. I started with a sketch challenge that Tauna and Bev did along with me. I chose to make my daughter a card as her birthday is next Monday. Today is her anniversary and I didn't even get a card made for them :-( After getting her card finished, I then proceeded to make a card for a brother that I have grown close to these past few years and really wish he was here with me to face issues. I know he is in his heart and that is such a blessing to me.

Anyway, here are the two cards that I have scrapped under protest of an unwilling heart! lol I thank each and everyone for stopping by. Many hugs to all of you and I pray for very special blessing from the awesome Lord who is the rock I stand firmly on.

Happy Birthday Dear Daughter!
