A very nontraditional Valentine!

I have been scrapping layouts for scrapbooks so have not been here to post much lately. Thank you again, Anessa, for missing me! I will try to make more for this blog between scrapping photos. I am planning on doing a box to store my Cricut cartridges in as well as some altered "fake" books for some of my grandsons. Hopefully I can get them done soon and get them posted. I also need to make two more V cards in a hurry! Now on to this one.......

The challenge for Biddy Buddies this month is a Valentine but it has to have yellow on it. As you can see I made it an easel card since they are one of my favs. I just love this Hanglar stamp and he does have a heart on him. lol I know it doesn't look like much of a Valentine card but it is what it is. lol I had to add the "S" at the end of Valentine so I can give it to my son's family since I probably will not have time to make individual cards this year. I also just had to find a place to add a little stickles! Love that bling! I had some more fun playing with my Expression too. Maybe someday I will even know how to use it! I also used my nesties and cuttlebug, so am feeling happy that my tools are getting used a little!

Challenges I am entering are:

Creative Stamp Friends-shapes (die cuts)

A Spoon Full of Sugar-Valentine

Charisma Cardz- Valentine

Let's Craft and Create-sewing

Paper Pretties- sewing

City Crafter- sewing

Penny's Paper-Crafty- anything goes

Stampavie and more- Love

The Sisterhood of Crafters-anything goes

Thank you for stopping by.
God Bless!

Get Well Card

In Biddy Buddies this month, our challenge is to make a "get well" creation and must use brown and pink somewhere on it. I chose this darling little Lily of the Valley image because I thought she was too cute. And more importantly, I had colored her some time ago so didn't have to spend time with that today. lol

Last week as I was searching blogs for challenges, I found a fun one from Crafty Cardmakers. They are challenging us to show our latest creation as well as one of our first ones. I figured I would just post the first one I ever made when I started blogging. But, just this moment, as I retrieved it, I found it kind of humorous that is was also a get well card. I do think I have improved a bit from the simple card it was. Thank goodness for stickles and inks and flourishes and the awesome talented bloggers I have learned from! So here it is as lame as it was! lol

Challenges I am entering the pink card in are:

Crafty Cardmakers- actually both cards are for this challenge lol

The Sweet Stop-sketch....turned sideways

Craft Your Days Away-anything goes

Fab 'n' Funky
- anything goes

Pile It On- cute children

Cards and More
-distressing

Craft Your Passion-anything goes

Cute Card Thursday- out with the old....everything I used on this card (minus the flourishes cut with my new cricit) is at least a year old. I am still trying to use my old stash most the time.

Paper Cutz- metal.....little heart charm

Papertake Weekly
-anything goes with optional lace....hope the paper lace border from MS will work.

Phindy's Place-distressing

Secret Crafter Saturday
-texture

Stamp Insanity- metal

Stamping Scrapping- flower power...I used prima mini roses and stickles. Even added a little Scent My Card on the flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs and God bless you all.

I also am breaking in my new Cricut Expression with this being the first creation with it.

And a few of the awesome challenges are:

Anessa! Just for you!

Since you asked, I will show a few more things I did for Christmas. I have not really done too much since but am hoping to get busy and actually scrap in my grandkids' books. I have not done a single layout in way over a year. Here are a couple picture frames I altered for my son and oldest daughter.

My youngest has always loved monkeys so I knew I had to try to alter this little wooden clock I found at Michael's. Her boys were so excited when they saw it and could hardly wait for her to open it Christmas morning.

I also crocheted her this little fellow that was equally awaited her opening. lol
The only thing I have attempted since Christmas was this birthday card for my oldest grand daughter. She wanted an easel card with a horse on it. These are also some of her favorite colors. I really struggled making this one as I really really wanted to do pink and frilly! lol

Now on to some serious business here. lol After Christmas I found this in the back of my car. The only clue I have as to where it came from is a note written on the top of the box. If anyone has any clue at all as to who got into my car without permission (lol), please let me know. My entire family is stumped as to who did it. At first I "blamed" my children and DH, but they have now convinced me they know just as much as I do. I love it and would love to thank the person responsible! So any and all info would be wonderful! Thanks.
Anyway, I thank you Anessa for missing me and I hope to have more to post real soon. Hugs to you and may God truly bless you and yours.
