"Butterfly Kisses" for Lexi's Creations

The challenge at Lexi's Creations is 3-D. I chose to use the little fairy Butterscotch for this card. I layered her mat as well as herself and then popped her wing. The flower in the center is one I made from melting other synthetic flowers. This is my first use of Flower Soft and I had fun experimenting with it. It is also my first time painting with Shimmerz and Blingz. I painted her dress with Shimmerz and painted on her wings and the melted flower with Blingz. I added a little stickles on the border and the center of the background flowers as well as her shoes. I used a MS bprder punch and my nessties also.

I hope to see lots of you join us at Lexi's for this fun challenge!

I am entering it in the following challenges:

Everybody Art- pink and green

Kah-Wink-E-Dink - Free for all ....kick off to summer....can't think of anything like butterflies to remind me of summer!

Cooking it up with Katie- Make or alter an embellishment, add sparkle and use a die cut.

Crafty Creations- sparkle

Monochrome for Craftalicious

This is my first attempt at intentionally making a monochromatic card. It was fun trying to decide which color to choose and then what to do with it after choosing! lol I chose my image to start with and decided she needed to be done in blues. This sweet stamp comes from the Pixie Cottage Hannah collection. I decided to also try to use my embossing folders that at one point I thought I could not live without but never seem to use! I used a little flower one for the bottom piece of white cardstock and and the twig one for the upper piece. I do wish they showed up better in the photo.....like they do in person! I wanted some bling to her so after composing the card, I went back and painted Blingz on different areas including all the flowers and lace. I colored the little dragonfly with Smooch and then added a little Blingz to him too.

Challenges I am entering are:

Creatalicious - sketch

Creative Inspirataions- Monochome

Cuttlebug Spot, Flourishes, and Cardvarks- embosssing

A Spoon Full Of Sugar and Quirky Crafts summer

Crafty Creations- Stitching

Whimsical Wednesdays and Pals Paper Arts - summer

Meljen's-fiber, ribbon or lace

Charisma Cardz- bling

The Treehouse- favorite tool. Not too sure how to show off my ATG so am going with my Cuttlebug. I used it to do the embossing folders as well as cut the stem swirls for the flower.

Challenge up Your Life- little critter and bling (thought my little dragonfly is a good little critter!)

One Stitch at a Time- celebrate something.....I am celebrating my first ever monochome card! lol

I thank each and everyone for stopping by my blog!
God Bless each of you.

Old McDonald had a Farm!

I fell in love with the little animal stamp from The Pixie Cottage and just had to have it. And of course I also love Magnolia and Hanglar stamps so this box-card is just some of my favorite things. lol You can see the toy animals in the box part. I had quite a time finding them. Used to see little packages of farm animals everywhere until I wanted some. lol Well I finally found some yesterday so could finish this up. I thought it would be a nice way to let a special little fellow know you were thinking of him.

Challenges I am entering it in are:

Cupcake Craft - one for the boys

Forever Friends- favorite stamp

Incy Wincy Designs- one for the guys

Pollycraft- Sing a song...I have been humming Old McDonald all morning long now! lol

Totally Gorjuss-one for the boys

The Crafty Pad- paper piecing

Polka Doodles - Nursery Rhymes

Thank you so much for stopping by.
hugs and God Bless!

A little hidden treasure for Lexi's Creations

This week at Lexi's the challenge is "something old". Well I decided to also do a little challenge my sil and I had.....to find a use for a toilet paper roll. I had stumbled over someones blog where they had used one for a pocket and I snagged that idea right up. lol Wished I would have saved the blog so I could thank them. The sleeve part is a cardboard roll from toilet paper. I found a piece of older paper in my scrap pile so decided to use it. I used two of Lexi's stamps.....Scruffles treasure and Scruffles map. I also used my little Edwin pirate from Magnolia. Other old things are the coins, charm and twine. I have all for years and am finally glad to find a use for them.

Challenges I am entering in are:

Digital Tuesday - this was so fun to find this challenge....it is to color with chalks. I got a bit excited as I always color with chalks and Dove pen. I have copics but cannot get the hang of using them. I do use them for skin but then shade with chalks or colored pencils or both. lol The two stamps from Lexi's are digital.

My Time to Craft xtra special I made this with a certain grandson in mind. (besides, what is more special than getting a roll out of toilet paper for your birthday! lol)

Crafty Creations- child's play

For Fun Challenges- birthday

Sisterhood of Crafters- children

Stamp Something- Happy_ _ _ _ I obviously chose birthday. lol

Stamp Scrap and Create -Pockets

Totally Gorjuss- one for the boys

Charisma Cardz- spots and stripes. The background paper is my spots and his little shirt is my stripes.

Cute Card- anything but square.

Just Us Girls- use a digital stamp.... map and treasure chest are both digi

Thank you all so much for stopping by. Would love to read your comments and appreciate any you leave. God Bless.

Craftalicious Challenges has commenced along with a fantastic BLOG HOP!!!!!!

BLOG HOP!!!

Craftalicious is not only doing our very first challenge but we are starting it off with a little hop around our blogs and we would love for you to join in on all the fun!

If you arrived here from Tracy's, you are in the right place. If not, and you would like to join hopping around the blogs with us, then go to Craftalicious and see what you need to do to get started!

To join the blog hop, entrants will have to visit each of our blogs and collect a word from each. Then email Jan ( craftalicious.challenges@gmail.com ) the completed sentence once you have unscrambled the words! You will then be in the drawing for a special prize just for joining the hop.

PRIZE From Me!!!
I am offering a little prize for one lucky lady that leaves a comment for my card. I just love this little Tilda and know she will be a welcome addition to whoever Mr. Random chooses to give her to.

We are so hoping that you will join us in creating something for our first challenge! I am just so excited about our new challenge blog!!! Our first challenge is "NEW". I made this gift box /card with a new stamp from CC Designs. I think she is so sweet. Another "new" for me is a technique I "borrowed" from Poppet's Place. This is also the first time I have used store bought stickers to decorate a card.

I lifted the ribbon a little to expose the box part of the card. Don't look too close as you will notice there is room for more candy. Seems that someone wanted a little snack as they scrapped and when it came time to add the candy to the box....well there just wasn't enough left to fill it up. I really think suppliers need to increase the amount they put in bags so scrappers do not run short! lol
I thank you so much for stopping by. Remember to join in on the hop and gather the words that will join together to make a sentence. Email the sentence to Jan so your name can join the others in the drawing for our blog hop prize. Make a creation to join in the fun of our challenge and again your name can join others in the draw for the challenge prize! And last but not least, if you want to join your name with the others for a chance to win Tilda.....write a comment here to join the other comments!

Now hop on over to Gina's and join in on the fun there!

Challenges I am entering this time are:

Whoopsie Daisy - Ribbons and bows

My Partner in Crafting Crime- Birthdays

Creative Card Crew- color theme- pink and green

Charisma Cardz- flowers

Order of the Opus Gluei -use acetate .... the little box front

Crafty Ho's - recipe....bling, ribbon and swirls

Pear Tree Designs -flowers

One Stitch at a Time- something new

Creative Craft - ribbons and bows

Thank you so much for stopping by. God Bless you!
