Handmade flowers for Craftalicious!

Please come play along with us this week where Gina chose the challenge for handmade flowers. The three pink ones are the ones I made for this challenge. They are several silk flowers that I heated with the embossing gun until they melted a little. I then put four melted globs together with a brad in the center and melted them once again. I added a little Shimmerz and Blingz to them. Flowers are so fun to make and there are so many different ways to make them so hurry on over and join us at Craftalicious for some fun!!! You just might win the awesome prize from our sponsor......Stitchy Stamps! They were so kind and gave the DT images to work with but my printer doesn't want to play with me anymore so could not use their stamp. :-(

Other challenges for this little Hanglar cutie are:

Everybody Art- sketch- I rotated it.

Little paper shop- colors

The Crafty Pad- vintage

A Wedding card

When I saw the sketch at Lily of the Valley this week, I just wanted to play along. lol I decided to use my new stamp I just got from them and this is the result. I had a lot of fun trying to figure it all out. In my mind it was real pale blue and white but once I got it inked and together it was not quite as pale and pretty and my mind had visioned it. A Craftalicious "Happy Birthday"

Our challenge this time at Craftalicious is "Birthday" chosen by Carly! Karen's Doodles are our wonderful sponsor this time and they were so kind to let us each choose an image to use!

My niece turned 50 today! Several months ago my sister-in-law and I were trying to convince her that 50 is not that bad and told her all the benefits of being 50! (which seem to escape me at the moment. lol) Anyway, when I saw this ostrich at Karen's Doodles, I just knew I had to make her a card to help usher in this wonderful milestone. To make it even better, I called her to wish her a happy birthday and she said she was not really having one this year. Then she said that getting older was for the birds. I almost lost it on the phone because she has not received my card yet. Happy Birthday Dear Tauna! You know I love you!!!

I also just noticed this is my 100th post on my blog!!! I want to thank all the people who work so hard creating the challenges !!! I also want to thank all the sponsors that so generously support the challenges with their wonderful donations! I cannot believe how much my life now depends on my "play time" and how you all have become a part of who I am! It is so much fun to just come here and get away from the everyday things and enjoy the company of friends that enjoy the same hobbies! To each and every one......THANKS!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Pop!!!!

Today is my parents anniversary. I made this card for them and my Pop really loved it. He even started bragging to his eldest sister about my cards. That was so mind blowing since my husband never compliments anything. In fact he dislikes the scrapbooks I have made and thinks my hobby of card making is a waste of time. Funny how it only takes one person that says something nice to make your day a little brighter! The way my Pop carried on made every minute I have ever spent on making cards worth it all.

The challenges I am entering are:

Little Cutie for Craftalicious!

Craftalicious has a wonder challenge this week!!! Tracy chose "CUTE" when she sent out these little images from Crafty Sentiments. I had a lot of fun deciding just what to do with her. I went through my daughter's old stamps that she had as a child and found the ribbon-lace stamp. I was excited when I actually stamped it and cut it out to see that she fit in so nicely. Am anxious to use it on more sitting sweeties when time permits. I also was happy to use another of my buddies crocheted flowers....thank you so much April! I love them. I even used two little crocheted ones I made.
