Around the World Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to your next stop in this wonderful Hop Around the World!
If you came here from Tamytha Jenkins@ Paper HeARTIST then you are right where you need to be!     If you did not, Mindi Brown @ Scrap Chat & Coffee Talk has the hop order to help you find your way.
I am so excited to be a blog host for such a fun and huge blog hop!  I hope you will all join in on the fun and maybe win some awesome prizes!
Here is the sketch I am showcasing for the hop

And here is the card I made for my brother's birthday.

I used papers from my stash.  I did distress and ink the edges.  The little pinecones were from a Christmas stem from Michaels.  I cut two off and inked them brown as they were white.  I stitched around some of the edges and called it quits.  lol

I also used the sketch for a more "girly" card.  The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye.  The image is colored with copics (just learning how to use them).  The little crocheted flower was a gift from a wonderful  friend...thanks April!  I inked and sewed around the edges too.

Now for the fun part! This is the prize you can win by playing along with me!

A new Memento Tuxedo black ink pad, a clear block and a new darling Magnolia stamp of little Edwin and Tilda hugging.

There are two ways to win my prize!

The first way is: you must
1-Be or become a member of Let’s Scrap  It is free, easy and fast! Once you get there, I am sure you will love it!  There are wonderful ladies to inspire and encourage and just plain be your friend.
2-Become a follower of my blog
3-Leave me a comment telling me what you like best about scrapping and card making.
And if you would like a second chance in the draw you must:
1-Make a card from the sketch I have posted and upload it to the gallery at Let’s Scrap. Please tag it as:  7-15-09, LEAP34
Please note there is a space between the comma and LEAP.   Also note that LEAP is all capitals.

2-Leave a comment with a link to your card on Let’s Scrap.
The hop ends at 11:59 pm Central Standard time February 29th, which you would be able to track using the clock on the main page of Let’s Scrap.

Thanks for visiting.  If you have any questions, please just ask.

Your next stop will be the talented Jodi Releford @ We Remember Moments .
If you get lost along the way or have joined the hop in the middle, Mindi Brown @ Scrap Chat and Coffee is the where it all starts!  Just go to her blog and she will have the order for you to get hopping in the right direction!  You don’t want to miss any of the fun!

So what are you waiting for.....Get to hopping and creating!

I hope you all have a great time seeing all the wonderful cards the hosts have made to inspire as well as making your own beautiful creations!

Hugs to all and God bless!

  2. Hi, Diana, I love both your cards--but especially the format of the easel card. I have yet to try that, but...just maybe... I think the thing I absolutely love best about papercrafting is the smell of NEW PAPER! Seriously! Am already a member of Let's Scrap, and a follower of your blog, so put my name in that hat for that super RAK!

  3. Your sketch is one of my favorites...can't wait to make it! My favorite thing about this craft is how I can get lost in it for hours on end...so good for the soul!

  4. Thank you so much for hosting the Let's Scrap Blog Hop. I love both of your takes on the sketch. I love all the distressing on the first one and the 2nd one is just too cute with its cute little girl on it. It sure doesn't look like you are just learning to use your Copics, you did a wonderful job on coloring in the stamp. I think what I love most about scrapbooking is that I am preserving all these precious memories for my kids and grandkids.

  7. Hello Diana! Oh both of your cards are cute! You are a good cardmaker!!
I love to make cards too because I love to take part in challenges, and I have so many cards at me and I can share them with my family and friends, it is great to see their smiling faces when they receive another card, and they love these cards and my creation)) This makes me glad))
Thanks for nice candy! Love the stamps a lot! But I have not any Tildas at me.. sorry... I am mad about any Tilda's stamps - but it is impossible to get them where I live... So- I have the onliest chance - to win some in candies... And I try again and more - but I am never lucky... the winners are always the ones who have the craft-rooms fulfil with everything...
    oh....
