Puddles of Love
Jan gave us such a fun challenge this week for Sohpisti-cat! Her theme is "Raining cats and dogs." My first thought was stormy weather but when my team mates seemed to be going more with the animal theme, I decided I might too. After searching thru all my stamps I chose rain in the end. I just got this stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie and couldn't wait to use her. The patterned papers are from my stash from years ago. I have a cupboard that I put a lot of my older papers in several years ago thinking the grandkids might use it some day. I do not think I have even opened that cupboard in at least three years so you know this is some old old paper. lol You cannot tell but I added glaze to the water drops and then added a few of my own drops to the stamped image and the flowers. It doesn't really show up too good in the photo but stands right out in person.
The sketch is from Friday Sketchers this week.
Pile it on has a challenge for animals. I think my little duckies are cute and make my card qualify for this challenge.
The Pixie Cottage has the challenge to use circles.
Spring seems to be a common challenge this week so I am entering this card in a few. Nothing like good old rain in the spring! So for spring I am entering it in the following:
By the Cute and Girly
Charisma Cardz
and Colour Create that also has a challenge for pastels.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Love your comments when you leave them! Hugs and God bless you!

Sophisti-cat challenge 27
At Sophisti-cat this week, Tracy has given us a fun challenge! It is a recipe challenge for Mint green, lavender, one other color plus flowers. I chose my papers and then searched for a sketch first and then a couple other challenges to help get my mojo going. I decided on the wonderful sketch from Truly Scrumptious along with the optional challenge for doing something quilt like. I drew stitches on the background of the image like it was hand quilted. At All That Scraps this week was to make an easel card, which is one of my favorites to make. Paper Sundaes has a challenge for paper piecing this week. I think this card would qualify because the eggs in her cart were all hand cut and along with the flower added to the cart. Pollycraft's challenge this week is "Sparkle". Well, you know how much I love my stickles! lol
Flowers is the challenge this week at the Creative Cottage . Easter is the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar. A splash of green is what Simon Says is challenging us to use. At Pixie Dust Studio the challenge was to use 3 of something. So, on the front of the card I used three roses. When you open it , there are 3 flower groupings.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Please come join us at Sophisti-cat and see what wonderful prizes you may win each week.
God Bless!

Grandson's Birthday card
I get so challenged when it comes to making cards for the opposite gender! lol I guess that is one reason God has blessed me with nine grandsons which a good share of them will be celebrating their birthdays soon. You will probably get tired of seeing birthday cards for boys when you come visit!
I made this cute little cowbear (Cuddly Buddly) for one of the little men. I am entering it in several challenges too.
My Time to Craft has a challenge for "kids".
Pollycraft's challenge is to distress somehow on you creation. I am new to distressing and have not really done it all that much so this was a fin challenge.
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and Creative Card Crew both have the challenge this time is for "celebration" and I am sure we will celebrate this birthday! lol
Practical Scrappers challenge was to use inks and chalks. I colored the image with chalks and you can see the ink I smeared all over everything!
Inspirational Card Sketches is where I got the inspiration to start this card from their sketch this week! I did rotate it and moved the the embellishment to a different side.
The Crazy Challenge is a new one for me this time. They are challenging us to use three of something. I chose to use three charms.....pistol, handcuffs and the little star hanging on the cuffs.
Allsorts challenge is to make something for men or boys.
One Stop Craft Challenge is "Sew Simple" and I wanted to enter this card to let you know that I really did mean to sew it all crooked and uneven! lol
Thank you for stopping by. I have asked God to bless each one who does! Now off to start yet another male birthday card! Yikes!

Ladybug Ladybug
Here is my card this week for our great challenge by Lisa at Sophisti-cat. Lisa challenged us to use bling and flourishes!!! When I got my new Tilda stamps Friday, I new I had to use this cute little ladybug! I just love Magnolia stamps. I thought she would look great all blinged up with a few flourishes! lol
I am entering her in a few challenges.
Tellen's Place also challenged us to "bling it out".
Frosted Designs challenged us to do our favorite technique and right now mine is making easel cards. Love using Stickles on everything too! lol
At Squigglefly this week the challenge is for "Fun Borders". I just bought this M.S. border punch and thougth it would be a perfect fun border all blinged up with stickles.
At Cupcake Craft they challenged us to use circles! With her little spots and dots, I think I have a few circles here.
Saturday Spotlight challenge is for friendship! I think a card letting someone know you like them is a great way to show your friend how much you do think of them.
At Paper Play we are to make a card for "just because". I thought this one would be great to send to someone just because I like them. lol
Papertake Weekly has the challenge "Buttons, Bows, Brads and Bling". I used plenty of bling, a couple bows and a couple brads (centers of flowers).
At Simon Says and Stamp Something we are challenged to make "something girly". I think my little ladybug is quite girly even tho it is not in pinks.
Lily of the Valley has a challenge for an easel card! They are one of my favorite type cards to make!

A Little Oriental
At Sophisti-cat this week our dear Tasha challenged us with "Oriental". I really enjoyed this challenge as it was a complete challenge!!! lol I have never made anything oriental nor do I own anything oriental. This sounded like a prime excuse to go to my lss! Well, apparently oriental is not a huge seller around here. They had very little in this area and what they did have did not really appeal to me. I did buy the cherry blossom stickers from their oriental section and then moved on. I bought some non oriental papers and came home. I then searched the internet until I found a simple clip art of this little girl and used it for a pattern to paper piece her. About the only thing I could really think of as oriental were the little umbrellas for drinks ( Iknow htey are not really oriental but this is my blog and my story! hehehe). Well, I did have fun finding them without going to a place where they serve drinks where they may have just given me ONE upon request. No, I wanted to purchase it so went shopping! And I indeed found them for sale........a box of 144!!! Since I only needed a half of one, I do have a few extras in case I ever want to make oriental cards again! lol I do thank Tasha for this fun challenge. I love challenges and tho my card did not turn out to my liking, it was a lot of fun making it.
I am entering it in a few challenges this week. Delightful Sketches is the layout. In fact. it was their sketch that gave me the idea for the little umbrella.
And Corrosive this week has the challenge for "Asian". So here is my Asian umbrella card!
I thought I would join in and use a recipe from Cooking it up With Katie! The recipe is: girly, 2 patterned papers, and paper piecing.
Craft Creations had a fun challenge to....."Cut it our and Pop it up". Well she is cut our in several pieces and then I adhered her with pop tape.
At Cute Card Thursday, we were required to use ribbon for their challenge!
I did really enjoy this challenge. Actually took my mind off my shingles for a while!!! Please hurry over to Sophisti-cat Challenge Blog and join us this week. The Dt cards are so inspiring and I know you will have fun doing this challenge also!
hugs and God bless!
