Just a swingin'
This week at Sophisti-cat, our challenge was to use embossing on your project. I embossed the flourishes, the sentiment and the brads. They are actually green but look more blue in the photo. Anyway, as I lay in bed one evening, trying to ignore my shingles, I thought of making a card where my little girl could actually swing. I am hoping to remake this style again but put a little extra work into it. This week it was mainly to figure out how I wanted it done. When you open the card she swings a little bit. My grandsons all had to give her a push when they saw her. lol Anyway, I am entering her in a couple challenges this week.
Lexi's is challenging us to an "Anything Goes"! I liked this one since I did not use a sketch or color recipe or anything, I figure this card fit that challenge perfectly. lol
At a Spoon Full of Sugar the challenge is Spring is in the Air. I know my grandkids cannot wait for Spring to come to go out and play.
At Our Creative Corner, they want us to try something new. Since I kind of made up this design myself, I must say that is something new. I usually copy everyone else. lol It is also the first time I have actually heat embossed die cuts and brads to match. I have heat embossed very little so most this card was an experiment for me.
At Cute Card Tuesday it is a challenge "Metal Mania". I figure my little brads make this card qualify!
Crafty Creations is calling for stitching to be used! I love stitching on my cards so this is always a welcome challenge for me.
Pollycraft has the challenge "Double Up". You have to use two different stamped images to make your creation. I used the little Sugar Nellie and my flower stamps.
Please hurry over to Sophisti-cat Challenge Blog and join us this week. We have some awesome DT examples to inspire you!
Well, I am off to play with Jonathan as it is his turn to stay with Gramma and for some reason he doesn't think watching me on the computer is much fun. Wonder why!!! lol Thanks for stopping by. Hugs and God bless each of you!
