Treats for Mom to give out

I saw these cute little mummies on Pinterest and decided to make some for my mother to hand out to the nursing staff (and who ever else she wants). They are just over an inch tall and about a half wide.  As you can see on Frankie, the Hersey nugget fills them.  I hope it is okay with the home mom lives in for her to give treats out.  Guess I need to check with them!  lol  Any way, I used a SU punch for the boxes.  The mummies are then just inked strips of paper glued.  The eyes are two different sized circle hand punches.  Frankie has the same eyes as the mummies only the reverse side.  They are actually a pale green although they look white in the picture. His hair is handuct strips of paper.  I drew the rest of his face on as well as the faces on the pumpkins.  The green leaves on the pumpkins are another little hand punch.  Thanks for stopping buy.  God bless each of you and hugs.

Sister Birthday Card

This card is for a very special lady that really is not my sister in the blood sense but my sister in every other way.  She is one of my very best friends and I love her more than I could possibly love her if she were blood.  I hope she likes this little showing of my feelings towards her for her birthday.

I first found the sketch from Sketch N Stash and then chose my stamp.  I love this cutie from Bildmalarna holding the heart.  I crop with a couple ladies each week and we had a challenge where each lady brought something that had to be used on our creation.  One lady brought a button, one flowers and one a little paper pad where we had to use two different patterned papers.  The small cream flower is the one I used from the lady.  I actually had three of them but they disappeared off my desk one at a time.  My grandson and I searched everywhere for them.  I just could not figure out where they went.  Well as I was starting to work on said project, Charlie, my pain in the behind cat, jumped up and grabbed my last little cream flower and ran off.  I chased him down and rescued the poor flower.  I can almost bet where the other two are now!  Anyway, due to missing items, I had to dig thru my punches until I found the closest I had and punched me out a few more flowers.  Dug through some more old stash until I found some golden rhinestones for the centers.  Now on to pick the papers.  I just laid my image on each paper in the pad and found the ones I thought she looked best on and used those two. The lace border is a die from Magnolia and the sentiment is a stamp and die from Whimsy.  The ribbon was a small piece of leftover at the bottom of my ribbon bag. The greenery is a MS punch.  Stitching, inking and a little stickles and I called it done.

Thank you all for stopping by.  May God watch over you and keep you safe.

Thinking of you card for Dorothy

My dear son in law lost his grand father this month.  His grandma is a real sweetheart and my heart breaks for her.  She had endured many trials this year and now is without the man she was married to for 67 years.  I wanted to just let her know I was thinking about her and that she will remain in my prayers, so I made this plain little card.  I do hope it brings her a little joy in all her sorrow.

Three nurses where my mother resides, and I meet once a week to scrap and share ideas.  We decided we would try doing a few challenges just for fun too so I found a sketch from Mojo Monday celebrating their 300th sketch.  None of the ladies had ever done a sketch and I really thought this would be a wonderful one for a first.  And it turned out to be great.  Their creations were wonderful.

Anyway, this is what I made from the sketch.  I chose the pink and green because they are one of my favorite color combos to scrap with.  I don't get to use pink too often when scrapping for the nine grand sons!   I inked and sewed edges.  I am not sure where the main sentiment is from but the circle sentiment is from Clear Dollar.....am so sad to see them closing.  I used my good old nesties for the circle around it. The leaves are also a Spellbinder die. The papers are all just scraps out of my little (big) scrap stash.

I do not usually post the inside of my cards but thought I would this time.  It is fairly plain also.  The sentiment is from Clear Dollar.  I am so glad I bought the stamps before they went digi and now out of business. :-(

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Hugs to all and may God watch over you and keep you safe.
