Graphic 45 Christmas mini Match Box Album

I won the privilege of being a guest designer for Crafting By Designs.  Their challenge this month is an anything goes challenge!  So hurry on over here and join in the fun!

I had so much fun making the last mini album from the pattern I bought from Cristi/Paper Hoarder Disorder on Etsy, that I just had to try to construct another using her drop down sides idea.  Love the drop downs!  This little album measures 3x4 by about 1.5.
I had searched you tube and decided, after seeing some awesome creations, to make it match box style.  The pattern will be available in the future from Cristi but will be a larger version.

The top is decorated with lots of flowers, metal corners, and a little stickles to add sparkle.  In the pocket is a small fold out album.

When removed from the match box cover the little album folds down to show itself off!
The letters are from a cricut cartridge and then covered in stickles.

The first page has a little pockets that contains several tags.  I used EK border for the little scalloped edge.

The next two pages each contain little fans made from the banner and tags set from G45.  They tuck neatly into the pocket.  The metal label holders are older ones from Making Memories and pull out tags from behind the fans.

On these next pages you find more little pockets with tags and mini fold outs.  Each fold out has a small metal tag added.  The tiny banner was made using a die and then gluing them to some embroidery string.

On these pages you will find fold outs held closed with magnets.  The lace border is from the new Spellbinder border set I just got.

There are hidden tags inside each fold out.

The back page just has one of the cutouts from this G45 collection.

The bottom of the box contains an acetate pocket with three little foldouts.

This is a picture of the bottom without tags.

Each page is actually a pocket and each has their own tag which holds their own little tag.

This photo shows the top of the match box case without the foldout.  It also shows the front of the book with the pull out handle from G45.  Both sides are decorated with the metal filigree and flowers.
All edges were inked with Chestnut Roan from Color Box.  The tiny hollies are from an EK border punch with stickles added.
Thank you so much for stopping by and viewing this listing!

Please visit Cristi's shop for fabulous patterns.  The Match box one will be added soon so keep watching for it!  In the mean time, enjoy her other patterns!

Valentine for My Mom

This is a Valentine I made for my mother.  I had seen this type around and really wanted to try my hand at it.  When I did research I found out it is just done with a die.  A couple weeks ago I found said die at JoAnns for 50% off and just new I had to order it.  So.......I did just that!   lol  At the time of it's arrival in to my hot little hands, I was hosting an online crop.  I thought I would hurry and whip this up to fulfill one of the challenges.  Well my hurry and do anything took me two days!  lol  Between the crop and Super Bowl activities, as well as it being a little more tedious than expected, it did take me longer.  I do like the way it turned out and will take it to my mom today.  I think she will be happy to get it even tho she may not remember who she got it from or what it is even doing in her room.  lol

This is what it looks like opened.

This is a top view in case no one has seen a card like this before.

I chose to use some new paper I just got from Wild Rose and am in love with all the pink!  The white borders were inked a little on the edge and then I added micro glitter.  All other sparkle is stickles. A few flowers on the corners frame it in I think.  A bow with a few buds finishes the heart die.....well, along with stickles of course!   The letters are cut with my cricut and Hello Kitty font.  The LOVE letters are popped for added dimension.  A little stickles around then seemed to pop them of the little die cut doilies. I think I used more dies and punches on this project than I have ever used on a single item before.  lol  Is there a challenge out there for using the most!  lol

I thank you so much for stopping by and pray God will keep watch over each of you.

Get Well Card for Grandson

My grandson spilled some hot noodles and received quite a nasty burn on his left arm/hand.  I figured I better make him a get well card in hopes of maybe giving him a smile and letting him know Grandpa and I are thinking about him and praying for him.  The first thing I chose was the sketch.  Then I chose to use this little sick dragon from High Hopes.  The sentiment stamps are also from High Hopes as you can probably tell they came with the dragon.  lol  The round sentiments are from Clear Dollar.  I used my nesties for the circles.  The band aids are form some older Quickutz dies I have had for years.  I have vowed to dig out the old stash and tools and use them!   The papers are even the left overs from the last get well card I made.  So scraps and old stash is the theme of this card!  Anyway, as you can see I inked and sewed the edges.  The sentiments are all popped as well as the dragon.  I also popped the center of the band aids so they would look a little more real.  Thank you all for stopping by and if you wouldn't mind saying a little prayer for fast healing, it would be greatly appreciated.  God bless!

LOTV Get Well Card

A good friend of mine posted in a scrapping group I belong to, about a little boy that was injured in an ATV accident.  Here is a link to  the article she posted.  http://ozarkareanetwork.com/localnews/?p=28829  After reading it, I challenged the other ladies in the group to make a card and get it sent Monday.  I hope he gets lots of cards and they bring him a little sunshine while he is in rehab.  I hope when you read this, you may be inspired to make Gabe a card too!

I decided to use this darling LOTV stamp just because it is so cute.  I colored it with copics.  I inked and roughed all the edges for a more boyish look.  I also sewed around all the edges.  The car is layered a little but you can't really tell in the picture.  The little smoke clouds are popped.  Thank you for stopping by.  Hugs to all and God Bless.

Graphic 45 Mini-Album

WARNING....very picture heavy!
Happy New Year to everyone!  I cannot believe it has been so long since I posted on my blog!  Thank you for being patient and not dropping me if you are one of my followers!  I will try to do more posts in this new year!

I joined a new group and immediately wanted to join a swap.   The swap I chose was for a mini album made out of any Graphic 45 collection.  I did not have any such collection so went shopping online and ordered the Secret Garden set.  This is the first time I have ever used a collection of any paper company.  I have never purchased things like stickers and chipboard and such but knew I had to have almost everything so ordered it all!!!  lol

The other requirements were you had to make at least four pages and it had to have a chipboard cover.   You had to use at least 9 embellishments.  It could not measure more than 4x4.

The first thing I did was decide what type of book I wanted to make.  I had purchased the tutorial on making a box book from Paper Hoarder Disorder's shop on Etsy.    The directions actually make a book that measures about 5x7.  I adapted it to make this little 3x4 album.
This is the top of the album.  It has a pull out mini album which has a little pull out tag.   The
little bird cage charm is one I thought went perfect with this paper line.
This is a side view that shows the metal embellishment I bent to fit over the edge of the box.  It attaches to a magnet to hold the box closed.

When the lid is lifted the sides fall down exposing the mini album.

On the first page I added a pocket which houses a mini circle album. The little journal tag is a chipboard piece from the collection but I added a key charm.

 Front of circle album

Back of mini circle album.

This photo is of the next pages but the color is totally off.  lol  The other pictures depict truer colors.

This is a fairly simple pocket page that hold two small tags.

This page is also a pocket page with the pocket made by using a MS fence punch.  It also hold a mini pocket which holds a tiny foldout album. The tiny purple flowers are made from an old punch.  The leaves or from a new die I just got.

The next pages are simple pocket and fold out pages.
This pocket holds a pull out tag that holds another smaller tag under a belly band.

 The back of tag

This is a simple fold out page.  I popped a couple of the chipboard pieces to form the closer.  The twine bow actually just slips off the side so you do not have to untie and tie.  I added another key charm for decoration.

The next pages are another pull out mini foldout and some more tags type things.
I used one of my new spellbinder die to make the flap and also for the fold out edges.  The metal bird is just another piece of stash that I didn't know I even had!  lol  I used a couple metal corners to hold the foldout.
The flap is help down by a magnet hidden in it as well as one hidden in the foldout.
 The inside of fold out.

The next page has a pocket from the collection holding a tag from the collection.

 The back of the tag.

This is the last of the two sided pages.  The first one is a very simple pocket and it hold two little stamp shaped tags.

This was one of the pages I wanted to do when I signed up.  It has an acetate pocket that the little envelope fits in.   I really thought it would be the best page ever but it did not turn out half as good as my mind said it would!  lol

Pocket with out the envelope in it.
The little envelope holds a tiny fold out album.  It is also held shut with magnets.
 Little foldout
 Inside of foldout.

This is the back of the open box album.  The center is a tag from the collection and the other three embellishments are chipboard from the set.
The last page is made from three stamp shaped squares glued to form a pocket.  It holds one tag.

Each page is actually a pocket and each contains a tag.
Here is a front photo of four of the tags and a back photo of the 5th.  Each tag looks the same on the back. I stamped them with a new journal stamp I bought.  I fussy cut one page of the paper to use for the tops of each tag.  I added a belly band to the bottoms so the person who receives it may add photos or more tags or whatever they would want.
As you can see, I held my usage of stickles to a very minimum.  lol  I did ink around every edge for a distressed look.  I sure hope whoever gets this little album will like it.  I can hardly wait to get one in return!!!  I did have a lot of fun working with a collection and also working with the tiny elements.  Almost everything about this album is new......from the tutorial, papers, stamp, and even having to use a collection!  Thank you all for stopping by.  May God richly bless you all in 2014!!!
